About the role:

 

Rawson Group are looking for a motivated Accountant to join our finance teamyou will be responsible for all end-to-end accounting duties including reporting on budgets, variances and forecasting for our Construction side of the business. You will support the Finance Manager in Tax management for the Rawson Group and work in a collaborative, professional and friendly team to ensure all accounting matters are completed on-time and accurately. This role will see you prepare and report on key data to assist the business build and improve our systems. Your high level of accuracy, insight and analytical skills will help you succeed. Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare monthly reports for the business such as, balance sheets, reconciliations and journals
  • Analyse monthly reports and provide insights and commentary to improve business functions
  • Tax duties such as BAS submissions, reconcile credits, TPAR, reporting and maintain the Tax portal 
  • Assist with budget forecasting and preparation, partnering with internal teams to ensure accuracy 
  • Assist with internal and external audits and prepare documentation to support the Group  

 

About You:

 

Qualifications:

Tertiary:

  • CA or CPA Qualification or working towards attainment 

Professional:

  • 3 years experience in a similar role 
  • Experience in preparing ITR's, FBT & BAS 

 

Skills:

  • Ability to prioritise and organise tasks to meet targets 
  • A great sense of teamwork and ability to work in a collaborative setting
  • An analytical mindset and high attention to detail 
  • Able to make evidence-based decisions efficiently
