About the role:

 

Join Rawson Group as a Contract Administrator, supporting our construction team across the full project lifecycle of large residential projects on class 1 & 1A developments. You’ll manage contract documentation, coordinate procurement, oversee compliance, and keep communication streamlined across contractors, clients and consultants. Your residential or commercial construction background, combined with your ability to build strong working relationships, will help you maintain accuracy, financial control and contractual integrity from day one.

 

In this role, you’ll take ownership of key responsibilities, ensuring documents, compliance requirements and stakeholder relationships are consistently maintained and up to date. Your strong interpersonal skills, paired with analytical thinking and confident negotiation, will help keep project partners informed and costs on track. You’ll work across both office and site environments, initially based out of our Rhodes Head Office and regularly visiting project locations. Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist the Project Manager with reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contract terms, conditions, and variations.
  • Support the preparation, execution, and administration of contracts for projects and services through the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor contractual performance of subcontractors & suppliers.
  • Act as a primary point of contact and facilitate communication for clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and external consultants.
  • Process and track progress claims, purchase orders, invoices, and budget updates to support cost control and manage budgets.
  • Prepare and manage subcontractor agreements, coordinate EOT's, variations and associated lodgement of documents. 
  • Identify and issue advice for potential contractual risks to the project team, senior management and applicable stakeholders. 

 

About You:

 

Qualifications:

 

Tertiary:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.

 

Professional:

  • 2-5 years experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Exposure to residential Class 1 & 1A and or townhouse Construction (Highly desirable). 
  • A strong understanding of construction processes, procurement, and project delivery frameworks.
  • Confidence in communicating/negotiating with and managing subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Strong understanding of drafting, executing, and administering construction contracts.
  • Working knowledge of the Building Code and regulations.
  • Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail.
  • Experience with SAP, OnSite Companion and Enterprise connect.

 

Skills:

  • Well-developed problem-solving skills, structured and analytical thinker.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage complex documentation with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Well-developed negotiation skills and ability to clearly communicate and liaise with management from site to executive level.
  • High level of computer skills with advanced knowledge of the MS office suite.
